Mahogany Georgian Revival Fall-Front Bureau on Stand
Description
This mahogany fall-front bureau on stand is a 20th-century piece in the Georgian revival style. The exterior features diamond-patterned veneers on the fall-front, framed by a lozenge-carved border that continues onto the fronts of the two drawers below. The fall-front opens to reveal an interior fitted with multiple pigeonholes and a small central drawer. The writing surface is inset with a green leather skiver decorated with gold-tooled Greek key borders. Hardware includes circular brass ring pulls on the drawers and a brass lock plate on the fall-front. The entire piece is raised on four square-section legs. A small white auction lot sticker is present on the front of the fall-front. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels.
