A Trio of Glazed Ceramic Garden Planters
Description
A trio of glazed ceramic planters of varying sizes and designs. The first is a large circular planter finished in a deep teal-green glaze, featuring a stylised rectangular motif on the exterior containing a dark circular element. The interior is unglazed, showing a light brown ceramic body. The second is a large blue-glazed planter with a tapered body, decorated with a wide, raised interlocking rope-twist border in a contrasting reddish-terracotta tone. Its interior is unglazed, revealing a reddish-brown clay body. The third is a small white-glazed planter or bowl, decorated with a border of small blue flowers at the rim and larger polychrome floral sprays on the body depicting pink blossoms and green foliage. This decoration appears to be transfer-printed or hand-painted. No maker marks are visible on any of the items.
