A Set of Colclough Bone China Red Rose Pattern Tea Wares
Description
A set of Colclough bone china tea wares manufactured in Longton, Staffordshire. The pieces are decorated in the Red Rose pattern, featuring transfer-printed sprays of red and pink roses with green and brown foliage against a white ground. Each piece is finished with a scalloped rim and gilded edges, with further gilded highlights to the handles. The bases bear a red printed backstamp comprising a crown motif above the name Colclough, Bone China, and Made in England. This set comprises one open sugar or slop bowl, one cream jug, two circular bread and butter or cake plates, six saucers, and three teacups.
