The People's Princess Commemorative Bride Doll by The Ashton-Drake Galleries
Description
A commemorative collector’s doll titled ‘The People’s Princess’, issued by The Ashton-Drake Galleries. The doll is a representation of Princess Diana in her 1981 bridal ensemble. It is constructed with a bisque porcelain head and limbs and a cloth torso. The doll features a short blonde wig and fixed blue eyes. The outfit consists of a white bridal gown with lace detailing, puffed sleeves, and a long train, together with a veil and tiara. A bouquet of artificial flowers and greenery is included, still sealed in its original plastic wrap with a blue label. The item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, number 2668, signed by Donald James, Executive Director of The Ashton-Drake Galleries. The doll is contained within its original cardboard shipping box with its internal protective foam, bubble wrap, and tissue paper. Reference number on the certificate is 03-01491-001-CRT.
