Description
A Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurine titled Silks and Ribbons, model number HN 2017. The figure depicts an elderly female street vendor seated on a bench, wearing a green plaid shawl over a red dress and a black hat adorned with a red flower. In her lap, she holds a white cloth displaying a variety of vibrant multicoloured ribbons in shades of yellow, orange, blue, and green. The base is marked with the standard green printed Royal Doulton backstamp featuring a lion and crown, the title Silks and Ribbons, and the model number HN 2017. It also carries the copyright mark COPR 1948 DOULTON & CO LIMITED. Additional markings include a small hand-painted numeral 7 and a printed 05. to the side of the main stamp.
