Large West German Fat Lava Floor Vase by Scheurich Keramik
Description
A substantial West German earthenware floor vase of tapering cylindrical form with a flared neck, produced by Scheurich Keramik. The vessel is decorated in the characteristic mid-century Fat Lava style, featuring a vibrant, thick, and highly textured orange volcanic glaze over a smooth, dark chocolate-brown base glaze. The orange glaze displays a pitted surface and irregular drips extending towards the lower body. The recessed base is moulded with the marks W.-GERMANY, the numbers 52-3371, and the stylized Scheurich circular factory logo.
