Canon A-1 35mm SLR Film Camera with Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 Lens
Description
A Canon A-1 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera fitted with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. The camera body is constructed from die-cast metal with a black finish and features a textured synthetic leatherette grip. This model was a pioneering electronically-controlled SLR featuring various automated exposure modes. The lens front ring is marked CANON LENS FD 50mm 1:1.8 CANON MADE IN JAPAN, and the aperture ring includes settings for 1.8, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22, and an Automatic (A) mode. The camera is equipped with a black woven fabric neck strap with plastic sliders. A partial brown leatherette protective case is present alongside the unit. An auction house inventory sticker marked 501 is currently adhered to the pentaprism housing.
