A Collection of Zulu War Hand-Painted Toy Soldiers and Rorke's Drift Diorama Accessories

A collection of hand-painted white metal and composite figures and accessories themed around the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, depicting the defence of Rorke’s Drift. The lot includes an assortment of infantry figures in approximately 54mm (1/32) scale, featuring British soldiers in red tunics and white pith helmets in various combat poses, including a standard-bearer with the Union Jack and a soldier in Highland regimental uniform with kilt and sporran. The collection further includes a larger feature figure, approximately 120mm in height, depicting a British officer armed with a revolver on a rocky outcrop base. Accompanying diorama elements comprise a canvas-style Red Cross field hospital tent topped with a Union Jack pennant, a miniature upright piano with printed sheet music, a sandbagged defensive position, a wooden barrel, a wooden tripod, and a scenic foliage element. While no maker’s marks are visible, the figures and accessories are attributed to Little Legion and W. Britain based on visual style and known range components.
