Two Lladró Glazed Porcelain Figurines, Morning Song and Our Lady with Stars
Description
A lot comprising two glazed porcelain figurines from the Spanish manufacturer Lladró. The first figurine is Morning Song (model 4870), depicting a young boy in a long nightshirt in a stretching pose, designed by Salvador Furió. The base of this piece bears the printed blue Lladró mark, copyright date 1977, and a blue ink inscription reading To Therese, accompanied by a signature and dated 7.11.91. The second figurine is a tall, stylized representation of the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady with Stars (model 5167), featuring a white gown decorated with golden celestial starburst motifs. The base of the Madonna figure displays the printed blue factory mark and incised characters including H-17 O. The lot includes an original Lladró grey and white cardboard presentation box.
