A Pair of Lladró Glazed Porcelain Figurines of Children
Description
A pair of glazed porcelain figurines manufactured by Lladró in Spain. The first figurine depicts a young girl standing with her hands on her hips, dressed in a long nightgown. The base features the blue Lladró tulip backstamp, the words HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and an incised C-4 G mark. The second figurine, model 4870, titled Praying Children, depicts a girl and a smaller child kneeling in prayer. The base of this grouping displays the blue Lladró tulip backstamp, the incised model number 4870, and further incised characters including 12 and A. Both figures are decorated in a palette of muted grey, blue, and cream tones with a high-gloss finish.
