Description
This lot features a framed colour print on paper after the 1930 original work ‘Coming From The Mill’ by L.S. Lowry. The composition illustrates a dense crowd of figures in the artist’s characteristic ‘matchstick’ style walking through an industrial street scene. The background is composed of various factory buildings and large smoking chimneys under a muted, overcast sky. The work is signed and dated in the plate at the lower right corner: L.S. LOWRY, 1930. The print is presented behind glass in a gilt and wood frame with a wide cream-coloured mount. A white auction lot sticker numbered 9754 is affixed to the glazing.
