An Assortment of Glazed Ceramic Animal Figurines in the Manner of Beswick
Description
An assortment of glazed ceramic animal figurines, naturalistically modelled in the style of mid-20th-century English potteries such as Beswick, Melba Ware, and Coopercraft. The collection includes a sitting hunting dog finished with a mottled brown and cream glaze, an arching fox in a russet-brown glaze, a brown foal with white socks, and a small seated animal cub with a light fawn glaze. A small white rectangular label with the handwritten number 105 is affixed to the side of the fox figurine. No maker’s marks are visible on the upper surfaces of the items.
Length of dog: 15cm – 20cm.
