A Jacobean Revival Oak Chest of Drawers
Description
A Jacobean Revival style chest of drawers, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The chest is configured with two short drawers over three long drawers. Constructed from dark-stained oak, the drawer fronts are embellished with applied geometric mitred mouldings creating a panelled effect in the 17th-century style. The carcass features a moulded top edge and flat-panelled sides. The drawers are fitted with brass D-shaped bail handles on rectangular backplates. Central keyholes are present on each level, though they appear as simple apertures without escutcheons.
