A Collection of Mid-Century Modern Cast Aluminium and Melamine Kitchenware
Description
A collection of mid-century modern kitchenware items. The lot includes a cast aluminium coffee pot with a matching lid and a tea kettle. Both vessels are fitted with ergonomically shaped carved wooden handles and lid finials, characteristic of 1950s and 1960s design. The aluminium has a matte finish. The collection also contains a group of two-tone melamine bowls with mustard-yellow exteriors and cream-coloured interiors. Additionally, there is a group of bowls constructed from woven wood veneer. A small inventory sticker reading 501 is adhered to the lid of the coffee pot. No maker’s marks are visible on any of the pieces.
