Leaded Stained Glass Table Lamp in the Glasgow Style with Stylised Rose Motif
Description
A table lamp comprising a truncated pyramidal shade and a matching columnar pedestal, both constructed from leaded stained glass panels. The decoration features a stylised rose motif in purple glass surrounded by curved green leaf elements, set against a white opalescent glass background. The glass is held within dark-toned lead cames. The shade and pedestal are mounted onto a stepped, rectangular wooden base with a deep mahogany-coloured finish. The design is characteristic of the Glasgow School style and the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. No maker’s marks or labels were identified during inspection.
Height: Approximately 14 to 15 inches (35 to 38 cm).
