Description
A vintage vocal gems sheet music folio for the 1932 romantic operetta and film Good-Night Vienna, published by Keith Prowse and Co. Ltd., London. The cover artwork features a central portrait of actor Jack Buchanan in a military uniform, styled in an Art Deco manner with a blue and cream colour palette. Credits on the cover attribute the music to George Posford, book and lyrics to Holt Marvell, and direction to Herbert Wilcox for British and Dominions film. The folio includes a selection of songs from the production, such as the title waltz, Living in Clover, Dear Little Waltz, Just Heaven, My Pretty Flowers, and The Marching Song. A small artist monogram AL is visible in the lower right corner of the illustration. The cover also displays the original retail prices of 3/6 and 2/- net.
