Royal Air Force No. 1 Dress Uniform Tunic and Beret to a Sergeant
Description
A Royal Air Force No. 1 Dress uniform comprising a tunic and matching beret. The tunic is constructed from RAF blue-grey wool barathea and features notched lapels, two pleated breast pockets with button-down flaps, and two lower bellows pockets. It includes an integral matching cloth waist belt secured by a brass pronged buckle. The tunic is fitted with a full set of brass RAF pattern buttons featuring the eagle and crown. Insignia consists of embroidered RAF eagle shoulder flashes and triple chevron sergeant rank badges in light blue and grey embroidery on a dark blue ground, present on both sleeves. Two medal ribbons are mounted above the left breast pocket, including the General Service Medal. The accompanying dark blue wool beret features an embroidered NCO cap badge with a laurel wreath encircling an eagle, surmounted by a Queen’s Crown. A wooden hanger is present with a handwritten inventory tag numbered 721 or 731.
