An Arts and Crafts Style Hammered White Metal Table Crumb Set
Description
A table crumb set consisting of a brush and a tray, designed in the Arts and Crafts style. The tray is constructed from a white metal, possibly hammered aluminium or pewter, with a textured hammered surface and a crimped or pie-crust rim. Both the handle of the tray and the reverse of the brush are decorated with applied cast metal ornaments featuring a floral and foliate scroll design. The brush features a wooden body and black bristles. This set likely dates from the early to mid-20th century. No maker’s marks were identified during inspection. A paper tag with the handwritten number 6182 is present on the tray.
