A Collection of Decorative Crystal, Glass, and Ceramic Bells
Description
A collection of decorative bells of varying sizes, materials, and styles, featuring examples in crystal, cut glass, art glass, and ceramic. The group includes a clear crystal bell with a faceted handle and cut-glass patterns to the body, bearing a Royal Doulton adhesive label. A commemorative clear glass bell features an etched portrait profile of Pope John Paul II with the inscription JOHN PAUL II. Included is a ceramic bell with a black glazed body and handle, decorated with intricate gilt-heightened floral and foliate patterns. One art glass bell contains a red, white, and blue glass twist inclusion within the handle. Other notable pieces include a glass bell with etched thistle decorations, an amber-coloured glass bell with a clear handle, and a smaller bell with hand-painted floral motifs on a dark red ground. The collection is completed by various other cut and pressed glass bells with different handle designs.
