A set of Eschenbach Bavaria porcelain coffee service pieces decorated with purple violets
Description
A mid-20th-century porcelain coffee service produced by Eschenbach in Bavaria, Germany. The set is manufactured from white glazed porcelain and features a transfer-printed floral pattern of purple violets and green foliage. The holloware items, including the coffee pot, sugar bowl, and cream jug, are designed with lobed or fluted bodies and scalloped rims. The service consists of a lidded coffee pot with a curved spout and scroll handle, a lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, and several coffee cups with corresponding saucers and side plates. The base of each piece bears a green underglaze factory mark featuring a crown above the Eschenbach name in cursive script, followed by Bavaria-Germany. Additional numerical markings such as 1 and – 9 are present on the undersides.
