A Collection of Glazed Ceramic Animal Figurines Attributed to Beswick and Melba Ware
Description
An assortment of gloss-glazed ceramic animal figurines, likely of mid-20th-century British manufacture. The collection includes a large standing fox finished in a reddish-brown glaze with a white chest and tail tip; a standing sighthound, resembling a Borzoi, with white and tan patched decoration; a horse foal in a standing pose finished in solid brown; and a small seated cub or kitten in a light-coloured glaze. All figurines feature a high-gloss finish characteristic of factories such as Beswick and Melba Ware. No visible maker’s marks, backstamps, or model numbers are present on the undersides or bodies of the items.
