A Corgi Aviation Archive Avro Lancaster and Eleven Military Figurines
Description
A 1:72 scale model of an Avro Lancaster B Mk.I, specifically the aircraft known as W4118 Admiral Prune of No. 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron. This model is attributed to the Corgi Aviation Archive series based on the distinctive shaped display stand and custom polystyrene packaging. The aircraft is constructed from die-cast metal with plastic detailing. It is housed in a white protective box with a polystyrene insert and includes a black display stand with printed identification and a small plastic bag of accessories. A small white sticker with handwritten numerals 9731 over a cursive character y is present on the top of the aircraft packaging.
The lot also contains eleven hand-painted military figurines, comprising six standing infantrymen and five mounted cavalrymen. These figures represent historical military personnel from the American Revolutionary War and the Napoleonic Wars. Notable figures include an infantryman carrying a United States Continental Army-style flag and various cavalrymen in regimental uniforms including British and European styles. The figures are crafted from cast metal, likely lead or white metal, and are each mounted on an individual polished rectangular wooden plinth.
