A Lot of UK and Gibraltar Commemorative Coins and Medals, Base Metal
Description
A collection of commemorative numismatic items and medals primarily focused on British military and naval history. The lot includes Gibraltar 2018 half crowns issued for the In Flanders Fields Museum, inscribed THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN and accompanied by an official certificate of authenticity noting a mintage limit of 100,000. Also present is a UK 2018 five-pound coin commemorating the Royal Air Force centenary with a colourised reverse, alongside a British Military Aircraft coin featuring a Supermarine Spitfire. Naval history is represented by medals dedicated to Horatio Nelson, including pieces inscribed HORATIO VISCOUNT NELSON DUKE OF BRONTE and HORATIO NELSON 1758 1805. The collection features two UK 50 pence coins in Change Checker presentation cards. Additional items include a First World War Commemorative King’s Shilling, a small rectangular gold-toned token inscribed FORWARD ENLIST NOW, and a group of colourised coins in a circular display mount.
