An Art Deco period automotive hood mascot, also known as a radiator cap ornament, in the design associated with the Ford Model 48 produced circa 1935-1936. The mascot features a stylized leaping greyhound figure positioned within a circular ring, representative of the streamlined aesthetic of the mid-1930s. The item is constructed from chrome-plated cast metal. A small flat-head screw is located on the upper section of the ring. No manufacturer marks, patent dates, or inscriptions are visible on the surfaces shown.
