Two W. Britain Painted Metal World War I Era Military Gun Sets with Figures
Description
This lot comprises two sets of painted metal miniature military figures and artillery pieces produced by W. Britain (Britains Ltd), depicting British forces from the World War I era. One set consists of a Royal Naval Landing Party Maxim machine gun mounted on a large-wheeled galloping carriage, accompanied by two naval figures in blue uniforms and white caps. The second set features a light automatic cannon, likely a QF 1-pounder pom-pom gun, on a grey-painted pedestal mount, operated by two British infantry figures in khaki service dress with peaked caps. The infantry figures are mounted on fixed green-textured bases. The figures and weapons are constructed from hand-painted lead or white metal. A small white adhesive inventory label marked 9703 X 2 is present on the pedestal of the cannon.
