Description
A collection of hand-painted cast metal miniature figures by King and Country, depicting various Allied aircrew and pilots from the Second World War. The set includes eleven human figures and one canine figure. Notable identifiable figures include the Free French ace Captain Pierre Clostermann, marked on a circular grey base, and Wing Commander Robert Stanford Tuck, identified by a partial mark on a rectangular green base. The figures are depicted in a variety of period-correct attire, including sheepskin flying jackets, life vests known as Mae Wests, and standard service dress uniforms representing the Royal Air Force, United States Army Air Forces, and the Free French Air Force. The lot also includes several separate rectangular metal bases.
