A Collection of Hand-Painted Lead Alloy American Civil War Union Army Toy Soldiers
Description
This collection features hand-painted cast metal figures depicting Union Army troops from the American Civil War. The figures are constructed from a lead or white metal alloy and are finished with detailed hand-painting. The group includes a mounted cavalry officer carrying a United States national flag on a bay horse, alongside infantrymen in various combat and parade poses. These include figures in marching and standing positions, a soldier in a kneeling firing stance, and a colour bearer carrying a green regimental-style flag. The troops are depicted in characteristic Union blue uniforms with detailed kepis. The figures are mounted on integrated textured bases painted in shades of green and earth tones. A white adhesive inventory label with the handwritten characters 9703 is present on one of the standing figures.
