A Collection of Hand-Painted Composite Figurines Depicting Working-Class Occupations
Description
A collection of hand-painted figurines manufactured from a composite resin material with a matte finish. The figurines depict several men in early to mid-twentieth-century working-class attire. The group includes a man wearing a peaked cap and braces seated on a woven basket while petting a ginger cat, a man in a flat cap and blue shirt working at a wooden wash-tub on a trestle stand, a man in a white shirt and green trousers seated at a table, and a man in a peaked cap and tan trousers holding a telephone receiver. The figures feature detailed textures on the clothing and bases, which are finished to resemble grass and earth. No factory marks or signatures are visible on the exterior of the items. A small white tag with the handwritten numbers 9703 is present on the table of one figurine.
