A Collection of Hand-Painted Connoisseur Military Miniatures Depicting British Napoleonic Infantry
Description
A collection of professional-quality hand-painted military miniatures depicting British Army personnel from the Napoleonic Wars (c. 1800-1815). The figures are cast in metal and mounted on individual multi-tiered, dark-stained turned wooden display bases. Each base features textured scenic ground cover composed of simulated grass and earth. The collection includes a Highland officer or sergeant wearing a red coat with yellow facings, a Highland kilt, and a feather bonnet with red and white dicing, armed with an espontoon. A second grouping comprises a Line Infantryman in a stovepipe shako and red coat with white cross-belts, armed with a Land Pattern Musket, accompanied by an officer in a dark grey shell jacket with white braiding. A third grouping consists of a Highland infantryman in a firing pose and an infantry drummer in traditional reverse colours, featuring a white coat with red facings and lace, playing a drum decorated with the British Royal Coat of Arms. A small rectangular white adhesive label with the handwritten number 9703 is affixed to the scenic ground of the central base. The figures exhibit the characteristics of high-end connoisseur miniatures produced by specialist manufacturers such as Chas C. Stadden or the W. Britain connoisseur range.
