W. Britain World War I British Royal Horse Artillery Field Gun Limber and Crew Set
Description
A W. Britain (Britains Ltd) die-cast metal military model set representing a British artillery unit from the World War I period. The set consists of an 18-pounder field gun, a two-wheeled ammunition limber, and two artillery crew figures. The field gun is equipped with an elevating barrel, a protective gun shield, and large spoked wheels. The matching limber features a hinged opening lid and spoked wheels. Both vehicles are finished in a drab military green paint. The two lead-alloy figures are hand-painted in khaki uniforms with puttees and wide-brimmed hats. A handwritten inventory tag numbered 9703 is fixed to the underside of the limber.
