IKEA Valby Ruta Machine-Made Rug
Description
An IKEA Valby Ruta machine-made rug of rectangular form. The rug features a traditional-style design, with a central field divided into rectangular compartments or garden panels, each containing varying floral and foliate motifs in shades of cream, beige, and dark blue on a deep red ground. This central field is framed by a wide border decorated with repeating floral rosettes and scrolling vine patterns. The rug is constructed with a short, dense 100 per cent polypropylene pile and a synthetic latex backing. The reverse retains the original manufacturer label identifying the model as Valby Ruta and bearing the IKEA logo. The label also includes technical specifications and numerical codes 703.220.35 and 12465. An additional ink stamp on the backing reads 1836.
