Edwardian Style Mahogany Glazed Display Cabinet
Description
An Edwardian style mahogany glazed display cabinet of single-piece construction. The cabinet features a moulded overhanging top above a single glazed door. The door is divided into three horizontal sections, with the central glass pane decorated with an etched or sandblasted motif of interlocking lozenges and geometric lines. The interior is fitted with two adjustable glass shelves and is lined with a cream-coloured fabric featuring a repeating geometric medallion pattern. The unit is raised on four short cabriole legs terminating in ball feet. A small circular brass-toned escutcheon and lock mechanism are fitted to the bottom centre rail of the door. No maker marks or inscriptions are visible.
