A Vintage Singer Model 128 Hand-Crank Sewing Machine with Bentwood Case
Description
A vintage Singer Model 128 sewing machine, manufactured by The Singer Manufacturing Co. The machine features a black enamelled cast-iron body mounted on a rectangular wooden base. The arm and bed are decorated with ornate gold-toned foliate and scrollwork decals. The arm displays the SINGER name in gold lettering, with the full company name inscribed in script above. A circular brass trade mark is visible on the pillar. The machine is equipped with a hand-cranked flywheel and a needle bar assembly. It is accompanied by a matching dome-shaped bentwood cover featuring a wooden handle and gold-toned SINGER branding. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten number 9702 is present on the machine arm.
