A Collection of Cased Flatware and Cutlery including Royal Crown Derby and Sheffield Stainless Steel
Description
A collection of assorted cased flatware and cutlery, primarily of mid-20th-century British manufacture. The assembly includes a wooden canteen containing a service of flatware with cream-coloured composite handles, comprising knives, forks, and spoons. A three-piece carving set is presented in a blue velvet-lined case, consisting of a carving knife, fork, and sharpening steel with cream-coloured handles; the knife blade features a maker’s mark consistent with Sheffield manufacture. Also included are two cased sets of fish knives and forks, one set featuring decorative engraved and pierced silver-plated blades. A two-piece serving set with floral-patterned ceramic handles is housed in a red presentation case bearing the Royal Crown Derby mark in gold-tone script to the interior. The lot is further comprised of a single cased knife and an additional box containing various knives and forks with cream-coloured composite handles. Materials consist of stainless steel, silver plate (EPNS), and imitation bone.
