A Collection of Cased and Loose Silver Plated and Stainless Steel Flatware including Stag Horn and Mother-of-Pearl Handled Sets
Description
A collection of cased flatware sets and loose serving pieces. The lot includes a silver-plated canteen of spoons with a polished finish, contained within a white case featuring a red and cream lining and a retailer’s label to the interior lid, possibly Mappin and Webb. A set of dessert knives with mother-of-pearl handles and metal blades is presented in a purple velvet-lined case. Also included is a set of knives and forks with cream-coloured composite handles, housed in a blue case with a black velvet interior. A further cased set comprises steak knives and forks featuring stag horn handles and decorative metal ferrules, set in a red velvet-lined interior. The collection is completed by three carving pieces consisting of a carving knife, a carving fork with a safety guard, and a sharpening steel, all fitted with stag horn handles. The carving knife blade bears an etched mark for STAINLESS STEEL and a partial mark for Sheffield, England.
