A Royal Standard Fine Bone China Tea Set in the Spanish Garden Pattern
Description
A set of Royal Standard fine bone china tableware in the Spanish Garden pattern. The set comprises 7 teacups, 8 saucers, 8 side plates, 1 cream jug, and 1 open sugar bowl. The pieces are decorated with transfer-printed autumnal foliage in shades of brown, green, and gold with small red berries. Each item features a gilded rim and gilded accents to the handles and bases. The bases are marked with the Royal Standard backstamp featuring a crown device, the words ROYAL STANDARD FINE BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND, and the pattern name Spanish Garden. This mark was used by Chapmans (Longton) Ltd, based at the Albert Works in Longton, Staffordshire.
The grouping measures approximately 30 cm in width as shown by the accompanying tape measure.
