Description
A collection of decorative glassware and miscellaneous curios, including amber-coloured pressed glass items in the Butterfly pattern attributed to Sowerby. The group features a scalloped bowl and a matching tray with moulded floral and insect motifs. Included is a tall clear glass confectionery jar with a tarnished metal lid embossed with the text PARKINSONS and BUTTERSCOTCH. An opaque yellow glass lidded jar is present, featuring hand-painted floral motifs and a faceted amber glass finial. The assortment also contains two stemmed glasses with gilded rims and cursive inscriptions reading Good Luck and Happy Days, a small cut-glass scent bottle, a ceramic ornament with pale pink roses, and an ornate sheathed letter opener with a decorative handle. A heavy, dark-toned cast metal figural object in the form of a beetle is included alongside a clear glass dome.
