Description
This collection comprises 42 vintage and contemporary costume brooches and pins in various styles and motifs. The selection includes figurative and animal designs such as a ballerina in a tutu, an elephant with blue enamel detailing, a long-tailed bird pav̩-set with clear stones, multiple butterflies in enamelled and openwork filigree styles, a seated cat, and a greyhound in profile. Regional and traditional pieces include a Scottish taxidermy grouse foot brooch with a yellow paste-set thistle-top mount, a Celtic-style cross with a central red cabochon, and a classical-style cameo. Commemorative and souvenir items include a circular brooch for the Scout Association marking the 1907-2007 centenary and a circular enamel souvenir brooch inscribed NAPOLI РPANORAMA.
