A Collection of 18 Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes Fraternal Jewels and Badges
Description
This collection consists of 18 items of fraternal regalia associated with the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) in the United Kingdom. The group includes regalia from two specific lodges: Trinity Lodge No. 3889 and Sir Thomas Abbott Lodge No. 4034. The collection features multiple large gilt metal jewels depicting a central buffalo head with inset red stone eyes, surrounded by a blue enamel border inscribed with the words Truth, Philanthropy, and Justice. These examples include a white enamel banner at the base inscribed Trinity Lodge No. 3889. Also present are several medium circular jewels featuring a red enamel centre with a gilt ROB monogram, bordered by the inscription Sir Thomas Abbott Lge. No 4034 and surmounted by a gilt and red enamel crown. The assortment is completed by three small badges, including two diamond-shaped RAOB pins and one circular badge with a blue border inscribed England. One additional Trinity Lodge jewel is included which lacks its lower banner. The items are constructed from gilt metal with multi-coloured enamel accents.
