Description
This collection comprises various printed reference materials and auction catalogues from major United Kingdom auction houses. The group includes a copy of Christie’s Review of the Season 1992, bound in red cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. Also present is a copy of Embroidered Stuart Pictures (Shire Album 246) by Margaret Swain, featuring illustrated card wrappers. The auction catalogues include Sotheby’s London: Important English & Continental Silver, Miniatures, Objects of Vertu & Antique Jewellery (27 & 28 April 1983); Bonhams: Mechanical Musical Instruments, Fine Dolls, Teddy Bears, Automata, Tinplate Toys, European Costume and Textiles; and Tennants (North Yorkshire): Spring Catalogue Sale (25 & 26 April 2002) and Autumn Catalogue Sale (22 & 23 November 2001). A further catalogue is included with a sale date of Tuesday 10th December.
