Description
An assortment of hardback volumes and annuals of varying formats, primarily dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection includes Newnes Family Health Encyclopaedia in orange cloth with a gilt-stamped Rod of Asclepius; Little Women by Louisa M. Alcott, published by Juvenile Productions in orange cloth; Carpet Manufacture by Bradbury in dark green cloth; and Seventy Years a Showman in maroon cloth. Juvenile and fiction titles comprise Billy Bob Tales by Enid Blyton; Longmans’ Ship Historical Readers; The Knot Squirrel Tied and Grey Rabbit and the Circus by Alison Uttley; Three Brave Women: Stories of Heroism in Heathen Lands published by Partridge in pictorial grey cloth; Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë; and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Caxton Junior Classics edition. Also present is a large pictorial annual with a sporting illustration to the spine dated 1919, a Stanley Gibbons Stamp Catalogue, and two volumes in plain grey boards.
