A collection of volumes primarily comprising early to mid-20th-century publisher’s cloth-bound hardcovers. The assortment includes Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses (Viking, 1988) and David Lloyd George’s War Memoirs (Volumes I and II, Ivor Nicholson & Watson, 1933). Children’s and juvenile literature is represented by pictorial cloth editions including More About Pixie by Mrs. George De Horne Vaizey (R.T.S.), The King’s Colonial Governor and Red Ramon’s Treasure by Captain K. Maclure (Partridge), and Sunken Treasure by Percy Woodcock (Nelson). Classic literature includes Nelson’s Classics editions of Heidi by Johanna Spyri and Cranford by Mrs. Gaskell, alongside Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities and Barnaby Rudge. Non-fiction and annuals include The Outdoor World by Furneaux (Longmans & Co), the British Journal Photographic Almanac 1939, and the Photoplay Film Year Book 1979.
