A Collection of Medieval Style Flat-Cast Figures
Description
A collection of flat-cast figures, commonly referred to as flats or Zinnfiguren, depicting medieval military subjects. The figures are manufactured from a cast metal alloy, likely a tin or lead alloy. The assortment includes foot soldiers in various combat poses, including archers, swordsmen, and men-at-arms with polearms, featuring hand-painted finishes. Also included is a group of mounted knight figures which remain unpainted, several of which are still attached to their original metal casting sprues and runners. The figures are produced in the style of traditional manufacturers such as Ernst Heinrichsen. Small white adhesive labels are present on the undersides of several bases, though no manufacturer marks are discernible.
