A Victorian sterling silver pedestal goblet manufactured by the firm James Dixon and Sons. The bowl features extensive chased and engraved decoration including foliate scrolls, geometric borders, and a central cartouche containing the name Stewart engraved in gothic script. The stem is knopped and leads to a circular spreading foot with beaded borders and matching engraved patterns. The side of the bowl bears a full set of English hallmarks: the maker mark JD and S within a cartouche for James Dixon and Sons, the Sheffield crown assay mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, the date letter G for 1874, and the Queen Victoria duty mark.
