Description

An extensive collection of glazed ceramic kitchenware and dinnerware, likely earthenware or stoneware, featuring a consistent transfer-printed floral pattern. The decoration consists of delicate sprays of pinkish-red flowers and green foliage connected by slender trailing vines. Many pieces exhibit molded decorative elements, including fluted bodies and faceted octagonal forms. The collection comprises a variety of kitchen storage jars with printed labels for Pasta, Tea, Sugar, Coffee, Biscuits, and Utensils. The tea and coffee ware includes several teapots and coffee pots in various shapes, numerous cups, mugs, and matching saucers. The dinner and serving ware includes an assortment of plates and platters in round and octagonal shapes, serving bowls, a pedestalled cake stand, a large pitcher, and small trays or dishes. No factory marks or maker names are visible on the exterior or bases of the items through the display cabinet glass. Small adhesive lot labels are present on some items. The style and forms are characteristic of British commercial ceramic production from the latter half of the 20th century.
