Pendelfin Ceramic Bandstand Base with a Group of Rabbits
Description
A glazed ceramic group figurine featuring a musical scene of anthropomorphic rabbits, identified by web consensus as Pendelfin. The composition includes a rabbit playing an upright piano, several others playing string instruments and singing from a score, and a young rabbit asleep in a pink cradle to the side. The circular base is moulded and painted to represent a combination of wooden floorboards and flagstone paving. A small printed mark in dark ink is present on the top surface of the base between the central figures, reading WADE MADE IN ENGLAND in a slight arch. A white adhesive lot label marked 7626 P is attached to the base.
