Heredities Cold-Cast Bronze Sculpture, St. Crispin's Day, King Henry V
Description
This cold-cast bronze sculpture by Heredities is titled St. Crispin’s Day and bears the model number BO3. The work depicts a medieval knight, King Henry V, in full ceremonial armour and crown, seated upon a rearing horse. The knight holds a slender metal rod in his raised right hand. The naturalistic base includes a discarded great helm and a heater-shaped shield bearing the Royal Arms of England, featuring three lions passant guardant, referencing the Battle of Agincourt. The sculpture is mounted on a tiered, oval, polished wooden plinth. The underside retains an original red and white paper label which bears the mark of HEREDITITIES and is titled ST. CRISPIN’S DAY, with model number BO3 and MADE IN ENGLAND.
