A Replica Belgian Regiment des Guides Pattern Colpack
Description
This item is a modern replica of a Belgian military headdress, specifically the colpack or busby pattern associated with the Regiment des Guides. The headdress features a cylindrical body covered in black short-pile synthetic fur. Attached to the front is a gilt-coloured metal plate consisting of a shield with a mirrored script L monogram beneath a royal crown, representing the Belgian monarchy. The item is fitted with a bi-colour red over white feather plume mounted behind a black cockade and a braided gold-coloured cord festoon draped across the front. The black peak is finished with an embossed decorative border of repeating geometric patterns.
