IKEA Valby Ruta Machine-Made Floor Runner
Description
An IKEA Valby Ruta model machine-made floor runner featuring a traditional Bakhtiari-style garden or khasti design. The central field is composed of a grid of seventeen rectangular panels, each decorated with various stylised floral, tree-of-life, and foliate motifs in shades of cream, blue, and gold against deep madder-red and navy grounds. The field is enclosed by a wide main border of undulating floral vines and rosettes on a red ground, flanked by narrow guards. The reverse bears a large white printed label identifying the model as VALBY RUTA with the IKEA logo, article number 703.220.35, and supplier number 12465. A black ink stamp numbered 1336 is also present. The rug is constructed with a 100% polypropylene pile and a latex backing.
