Framed Mid-20th Century Pin-up Lithograph Attributed to Alberto Vargas
Description
A vintage framed colour lithographic print featuring a pin-up illustration. The artwork, which is in the style of Alberto Vargas, depicts a semi-nude female figure in side profile with wavy reddish-blonde hair, wearing a sheer, ruffled pink chemise gathered at the waist. The piece is an offset lithograph on paper, characteristic of commercial pin-up art from the mid-20th century. The artwork is housed in a modern black frame with a silver-toned inner bevel and an off-white mount under glass. A small white temporary sticker is present on the surface of the print over the subject’s breast. On the top right of the mount, there is a small white adhesive label with the handwritten characters 3676 and p. No artist signatures or publisher marks are visible on the surface of the print.
